In a message posted on her X account, Peru's top official thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for the reception he hosted for heads of state on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
"The 'Shield of the Americas' is already in action. I am grateful to President Trump for the reception he hosted for heads of state at the 81st United Nations General Assembly," Fujimori stated on Saturday evening.
The Peruvian President said the meeting helped strengthen security partnerships, promote investment, and showcase everything Peru has to offer to the world.
"Our security is a common goal that knows no borders," Fujimori noted.
As previously reported, the Head of State participated in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in the U.S. from September 21 to 25.
During her visit, she also pursued an international agenda aimed at strengthening Peru's presence, promoting investment opportunities, and expanding cooperation ties.
