Likewise, the Head of State addressed her Colombian counterpart, Abelardo de la Espriella, to convey Peru's willingness to support its neighboring country.
"I express my solidarity with the Colombian people following the earthquake registered today. I deeply regret the loss of life and extend my condolences to the families going through this difficult time," Fujimori stated on her official X account.
"To President Abelardo de la Espriella and the entire people of Colombia, I convey our willingness to help. Peru stands with you," she added.
A strong earthquake struck Colombia this morning, causing severe damage mainly in cities such as Pereira, Manizales, Cali, and others.
It occurred at 7:34 a.m. (local time) and registered a magnitude of 7.4, according to the Colombian Geological Service and the U.S. Geological Survey.
As a result of the earthquake, at least 111 people have died, prompting President De la Espriella’s administration to declare a "national disaster" situation.
