The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Saturday invited national and foreign businesspersons to invest without fear in Peru, since great efforts are being undertaken to improve citizens' quality of life and meet their main needs.

From Tacna, during a meeting with residents of this southern region, Mr. Castillo stressed that he has been doing his job transparently, because that is his main conviction.

"From Tacna, I call on the businesspeople of Peru and the (rest of the) world to invest without fear or doubts in this country and to start with Tacna as it needs development more than ever," he expressed.

In this sense, the Head of State noted that "the bad history of Peruvian politics" must be turned around as it consists of government representatives ending up behind bars once a presidential term is over.

The President indicated that, once he had taken office, he faced two problems such as the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the war between Russia and Ukraine, which is why it is necessary to join efforts with authorities and "shape a government for all Peruvians."

"We are here, not only to grant title deeds to those who have been waiting (for them), not only to provide water (services) to the towns but also to guarantee food security at the national level. There is a challenge, and we know that Tacna is a hard-working and brave town," he stated.

Moreover, the top official reminded citizens that he returned to Tacna joined by State ministers to meet people's main demands.

In this sense, he said that during his term in office ministers are not only working at their offices but also traveling to listen to the country's local and regional authorities.
