The President of the Republic of Peru, Pedro Castillo, and his Chilean counterpart, Gabriel Boric, held a meeting at La Moneda Palace in the Chilean capital, Santiago, on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, the Peruvian Head of State was welcomed with honors at Plaza de la Constitucion (Constitution Square) —adjacent to the Chilean Executive Branch headquarters.

Both national anthems were played at the ceremony. After greeting the people gathered outside, both dignitaries entered La Moneda Palace.

Prior to the meeting, President Castillo introduced the 10 members of the Peruvian cabinet present in the area to his Chilean counterpart. Afterwards, the southern Head of State did the same with his ministers.

The Foreign Affairs ministers of both countries, Chilean Antonia Urrejola and Peruvian Cesar Landa, as well as other authorities from both countries, are present at the meeting of leaders.
