Peruvian helicopters join firefighting efforts in Bolivia

Two Peruvian helicopters —carrying firefighting equipment— have arrived in the Bolivian city of San Ignacio de Velasco to assist the efforts aimed at extinguishing the fires in Chiquitania area.

The MI-17 planes property of Peru's Air Force —equipped with Bambi bucket— landed in the neighboring country last Wednesday. 

During the flight, crewmembers witnessed the damage caused by the fire in diverse areas of the Bolivian Amazon. 

The Inca country's soldiers were welcomed by Bolivian President Evo Morales and military authorities upon arrival.

In this sense, the Head of State thanked the assistance offered by Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra's administration.  


Permanent Surveillance 


Regardless of that, Indeci carries out a permanent surveillance at the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN)
