Peruvian film Paraiso (Paradise), directed by Hector Galvez, was awarded a post production prize by Visions Sud Est Swiss fund. The award comes a month after the film's world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is the sixth granted to Paraíso since 2006, when it won the Conacine Award given by Peru's National Commission of Cinematography.
 
In 2007, it received awards from Germany's Filmstiftung NRW and Ibermedia, the multi-million dollar pan-regional film fund for Spain. Paraíso has also been selected to compete in the Venice Mostra de Cinema festival.
 
Héctor Gálvez Campos, born in Lima in 1974, studied television production at the National Institute of Telecommunications Training INICTEL. Wrote and directed a series of short films and co-directed the feature documentary Lucanamarca. It also works on non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which makes documentaries focusing on human rights. Currently completing a new film, NN. Jardines del Paraiso is his first feature film.

Visions Sud Est Swiss fund supports film productions from Asia, Africa and Latin America, guarantees their distribution in Switzerland and helps in making them visible worldwide.
