Peruvian coffee shone at the "World of Coffee 2024" (WOC) fair held recently in Copenhagen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Peruvian Embassy in Sweden and the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru), participated in this event, which included a large delegation of producers from the South American nation.

The Peruvian stand became one of the event's main attractions as it fascinated numerous visitors thanks to the presence of producers from various coffee-producing regions in our country.

Attendees were able to taste the quality and variety of Peruvian coffee, which included up to seven tasting sessions led by a Danish expert.

Peruvian producers made the most of their participation and held important business meetings with buyers and roasters, including small, medium, and large companies.

It should be noted that Peru was chosen at this WOC's edition as "Portrait Country."

Within the framework of this distinction, a networking event was held, co-organized by the Peruvian Embassy in Sweden and Denmark, and the PromPeru Office in Rotterdam.

This presentation highlighted the exceptional quality of Peruvian coffee and the investment opportunities available in the sector.

The event featured an exquisite display of Peruvian cuisine, Pisco-based cocktails, and typical dances, which delighted the attendees.

Peru's participation at the "World of Coffee 2024" was successful. Greater recognition of the exquisite varieties of Peruvian coffees was achieved among Nordic and European companies, while important commercial contacts were established in a market with great potential for this product.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its diplomatic missions abroad and Decentralized Offices, will continue to collaborate with the implementation of various initiatives related to the promotion of Peruvian coffee.

Moreover, strengthening the internationalization and consolidation of Peruvian coffee in the global market will be sought, with the aim of improving competitiveness, as well as social and environmental sustainability of its value chain.

The event took place from June 27 to 29.
