Outstanding Peruvian bakers will participate in the 5th edition of the 2015 Baking World Cup in Saint Étienne (France) on September 24-27.
The team is composed of Luis La Rosa and Renato Malquichagua, who are coached by the Master Baker Marín Astocóndor.
They will travel along with Alina San Román and Jorge Morales Fhon; both members of Les Ambassadeur du Pain (The Ambassadors of Bread); the organization that sponsors the championship.
The Peruvian delegation will compete with teams from countries: France, Spain, Italy, Germany and others, which have a broad experience in breadmaking.
Peruvians will be present in seven categories: Brioche bread, croissant, baguette, bio bread (biological), nutritional bread, artistic dough and traditional bread (regional).
Likewise, the national squad will bring native products such as: Kiwicha, locust bean, lucuma, passion fruit, dragon fruit (pitajaya), sanky and cañihua.
It should be noted the South American team won the ‘Best Nutritional Bread’ in its fourth edition after introducing the "quinupan" (bread made with quinoa).
