Peruvian athletes train hard for Parapan American Games 2019

17:24 | Lima, Feb. 14.

Peruvian para national team trains hard at Lima's Chorrillos Military Academy to compete at the Lima 2019 Parapan American Games.

Around 150 paralympic athletes will compose the Inca country's delegation hoping to win medals for Peru.

One of them, Carlos Felipa, prepares to participate in the following disciplines: javelin, discus throw, and shot put.

Felipa follows a strict training plan since he dreams of taking first place on the podium.

"I'm an athlete since I was a child, and now I feel motivated and excited to represent the country," he told Andina news agency.

"The competition will be difficult, and I'm preparing to get good results. I'm 100% devoted to it," the para sportsman added.

It is worth noting that the Military Academy will also be a venue for the Pan American Lima 2019 Games.
