Peruvian Army Officer visits U.S.

Peruvian Army Commander General Jorge Celiz paid a work visit to the United States and informed the U.S. Army South about the challenges the Inca country's army has to face.

Within this framework, General Celiz strengthened commitment bonds with Major General Mark R. Stammer, Commanding General of the U.S. Army South in order to develop strategies that will be implemented in the agreements to be addressed in the next bilateral meeting between both armies this April. 

Afterwards, he visited the Center for the Intrepid, a medical rehabilitation facility that offers treatment, therapy, recovery, and reintegration services for military staff of the U.S. Army

On the second day, the Peruvian General gave a presentation on the vision, guidelines, and process the Peruvian Army currently undertakes to enable a real and effective capacity in accordance with society's security needs. 


Challenges

Furthermore, he stressed the strategic vision of interoperability in other armies aimed at facing the challenges all nations have in common. 

It should be noted he also visited the Military Medical Center.

Lastly, General Celiz held a series of meetings with U.S. high-ranking officers which have resulted in initial agreements on training, non-reciprocal exchanges, and emergency treatments for the benefit of Peruvian Army members.
