Peruvian Ambassador to U.S. ends duties in December

10:06 | Lima, Nov. 26.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry has announced the termination of services of Carlos Pareja as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the United States.

Pareja took up duties as head of the Peruvian diplomatic mission in the North American country on September 12, 2016, and will officially end his tenure on December 31, 2018.

Published in El Peruano official gazette, the resolution also ordered the cancellation of corresponding credentials and full powers that had been granted to the diplomat.

The document thanks Pareja for the important services rendered to the Inca nation.

Likewise, another Supreme Resolution orders his retirement from the Peruvian Diplomatic Service —on January 1, 2019— after serving 20 years as Ambassador.

Both documents were signed by President Martin Vizcarra and Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio.
