Peruvian Ambassador presents credentials to Swedish King

Peruvian Ambassador Jose Antonio Bellina presented credential letters to Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf, the Andean country's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.

Such credentials recognized the appointment of Bellina as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Kingdom of Sweden.

On the occasion, both personalities discussed topics of bilateral interest, such as the importance of Peruvian mining sector's development and Swedish industry's potential, in terms of machinery and technology.

In addition, they expressed their countries' willingness to continue strengthening trade relations. 

Lastly, they highlighted both nations' active participation in UN Peacekeeping operations, as well as at the UN Security Council.

For his part, the Swedish King recalled his daughter Princess Victoria's visit to the Inca country back in 2015.

The ceremony took place in Stockholm on May 24.
