The Vice-President of the Republic and Development-Social Inclusion Minister Dina Boluarte has affirmed that the Government is committed to serving the most vulnerable population in the country.

Her remarks were delivered last Tuesday in Iquitos after the launch of a campaign that will bring State services closer to communities in Puno, Loreto, and Ucayali regions.

Touched and grateful for those who participate in the Itinerant Social Action Platforms (PIAS) —run by the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis)— Boluarte launched the first campaign within the national program PAIS (Country).

In total, seven Peruvian Navy ships and two Peruvian Air Force (FAP) light aircraft will reach the most remote towns in the country, benefiting 55,107 inhabitants.

"This is how we bring numerous State services closer to indigenous and vulnerable communities," she remarked.

Numerous services

According to the head of Midis, these itinerant social action platforms will provide medical services ranging from prenatal care and medical assistance during birth to care services for the elderly, as well as the administration of COVID-19 vaccines.

The aforementioned platforms will facilitate people's access to grants and economic subsidies, banking services, as well as birth certificate and ID card procedures.

Moreover, experts will bring multisectoral services to thousands of residents across 300 communities in Loreto, Ucayali, and Puno regions.
