Peru's Vargas thrives at Rio 2016 Paralympics

Peruvian athlete Yeny Vargas ended seventh in Women’s 400m final (T45/46/47 category) at Rio 2016 Paralympic Games on Wednesday.

The athlete will compete in Women's 200m-Round 1 (T45/46/47 category). Competition will take place on Thursday.

Previously, the national sportswoman clocked a time of 1:09.63.

The event was won by Chinese Lu Li (58.09), followed by South African Anrune Liebenberg (58.88) and Japanese Sae Tsuji (1:00.62). 

Rio 2016 Paralympics features disabled athletes from 161 countries on September 7-18.
