Peru's Tejeda ends seventh at 2018 Osaka Women's Marathon

Peruvian Gladys Tejada grabbed the seventh spot at 2018 Osaka Women's Marathon.

Considered one of the most important competitions in Asia, the sporting event took place last Sunday.

The 32-year-old ended the 42-kilometer race clocking a time of 2 hours 30 minutes and 44 seconds.

During the event, Tejeda came close to ending fourth. However, competitors took the upper hand, thus leaving the Peruvian sportswoman in the seventh spot. 

Although the national athlete finished 8 minutes behind the winner, she managed to rank among the top 10.
