17:43 | Lima, Jun. 13.

Peru's Prime Minister Anibal Torres affirmed that the Government of President Pedro Castillo is struggling to meet the demands of workers in both the private and public sectors.

His remarks were delivered during a meeting with members of the National Confederation of State Workers of Peru at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM)

During the meeting, held last Friday, the union gave Torres an award in recognition of his commitment to labor rights and his drive to meet public servants' needs by listening to them.

"The Government of President Castillo is struggling to meet the labor demands, not only of private sector workers, but also of public servants, who play an important role in the functioning of the State," said the Cabinet chief after thanking the union for the award.
