on Wednesday affirmed that his administration will implement a policy for micro and small entrepreneurs, with whom he met at the Government Palace this afternoon.
"If there is a need to implement a policy for micro and small entrepreneurs, then it must be done. From here I am going to arrange for the minister to immediately sit down and talk with you," Mr. Castillo told representatives of the National Confederation of State Workers and the National Coordinator for State Micro Entrepreneurs of Peru.
Similarly, the Head of State pledged to make a visit to Lima's Ancon district to witness the situation of small and micro entrepreneurs, who indicated that despite many years the Technological Industrial Park has not become a reality in that area yet.
"I am arranging right now so that, through the Cabinet of Advisors, a visit to Ancon is scheduled; we are going to go. This is not about seeking a space, it is about fundamental rights; nothing can get in the way of a person who works," he expressed.
Moreover, the top official asked attendees not to be afraid of the changes that the people demand and the country needs. Mr. Castillo added that he will be firm in supporting them because he owes it to the people who put him in the government.
"We are on the side of the law (…) the people cannot be lied to or deceived, especially working-class members who get ahead with effort and commitment, who work for their families, for their children, who demonstrate peacefully in the streets," he underlined.
President Castillo also specified that his administration is fully respectful of citizens demonstrating, but with all due respect, separating them from those infiltrators who attempt to make authorities and leaders look bad.
