The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday affirmed that his Government remains focused on achieving the well-being and comprehensive development of the population.
In this regard, the Head of State highlighted the recent measures taken by the Executive Branch such as the tax exemption on fuels and the increase in the minimum wage.
"In compliance with the Government's commitments made at the round table held in the city of Huancayo, we have decided to exempt the Selective Consumption Tax (ISC) on 84 and 90 octane gasoline, gasohol and certain types of diesel from today until June 30," he said on Twitter.
Moreover, Mr. Castillo remarked that starting May 1, Labor Day, the minimum wage will increase to S/1,025 (about US$280) per month, noting that this was an imperative measure that has not been applied since 2018.
"We have remained focused on achieving the well-being and comprehensive development of the population since the beginning of our administration," he emphasized.
