President Francisco Sagasti on Sunday afternoon affirmed that Peru is ready to start its immunization plan against COVID-19, giving priority to health care workers in the most critical regions.
Via Twitter, the Head of State highlighted that the first batch of the COVID-19 vaccines developed by China's pharmaceutical company Sinopharm will arrive today.

The aircraft carrying the first 300,000 Sinopharm vaccine doses is expected to land at the Peruvian capital's international airport on Sunday between 7:00 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. (local time).
The flight comes from Paris (France), where it made a stopover after leaving Beijing (China).
According to the
Ministry of Health (Minsa), the vaccines' distribution will begin on Monday, February 8, at 13 hospitals and health centers in Lima and Callao, in order to protect health staff in critical areas of the pandemic fight.
