The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo has affirmed that a more participative and broad-based Ministerial Cabinet will be announced soon, so as to work for the benefit of all Peruvians.

In a post on Twitter, the Head of State commented that his commitment to the country remains in place and stronger until July 28, 2026.

"We are close to announcing a more participative and broad-based Cabinet for the benefit of all Peruvians. I am still committed to the people. Therefore, I call for the broadest unity to continue working in favor of the most vulnerable population and for our beloved homeland," he remarked.

In this sense, he underscored that this Government reiterates its firm commitment to provide solutions to the major problems of Peru, always taking into consideration ordinary citizens.

"I hope the political elite will act responsibly, thinking of the country and not of mere individual interests or groups of interest," the country's top official pointed out.

On the other hand, he emphasized that there is a new media campaign aimed at promoting the presidential impeachment, which reveals antidemocratic attitudes of some sectors that only seek to destabilize the country and put governance at risk.

"In view of the statements made by some former government officials, I firmly reject certain theories on the interference of my trusted team in the decision making. Their statements are false in every aspect," Mr. Castillo said.

"I have respected the decisions of State Ministers since the start of my time in office. In addition, I denounce the coup attempts that are being planned more forcefully this week," he added.

The Head of State reaffirmed that he was elected by the people and by popular majority vote. He also noted that his commitment remains in place and stronger than ever until July 28, 2026.

"It grieves me that power groups promote an unnecessary presidential impeachment in a systematic manner. If you really care for the country, call for unity and governance," he concluded.
