The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte will participate in the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting to be held in San Francisco, United States, this week.

The APEC forum promotes investment, foreign trade, opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and empowerment of women, among other issues.

Moreover, the Head of State will hold high-level meetings with leaders and entrepreneurs from the 21 economies that are part of this trade bloc.

Together, these economies make up 62% of world's gross domestic product (GDP), 48% of global trade, and 38% of the planet's population.

In addition, the APEC aims to promote sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Therefore, it works to overcome the obstacles that prevent the market economy from functioning properly, as well as goods, services, investment, and people from moving freely across borders.
