Peru's President to meet with U.S. State Secretary

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo will hold a working meeting with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken today —within the framework of the 52nd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), which takes place from October 5 to 7 in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

According to the Secretariat of Strategic Communication and Press of the Presidential Office, Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa will also participate in the event.

After the meeting, the authorities will hold a press conference at the Government Palace in Lima at 5:00 p.m. (local time).

U.S. State Secretary Blinken arrived in Peru on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. —after having visited Bogota, where he held a meeting with the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro.

He also travelled to Santiago, Chile, where he met with President Gabriel Boric.
