The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Tuesday morning called on legislators to talk and put the country's most urgent issues —such as education— on the agenda.

Likewise, the Head of State urged them to join him on his working trips to regions across the country.

His remarks were made after visiting the facilities of the Puerto Bermudez Health Center located in the Andean region of Pasco.

Mr. Castillo thanked Parliament for rejecting the impeachment motion that was put to a vote on Monday, noting that this "has laid the foundations of the democratic space."

He remarked that lawmakers have to understand that the country, education, health, farmers, and the shortcomings in each town, are above political confrontation.

"We feel committed every day. The small group of legislators who failed to achieve their goal will pursue their own agenda, but we will pursue the national agenda," he emphasized.

He also underscored that the Government is always attentive to the needs of the population and the management of the budget allocated to regional and local authorities.

Later, the Head of State visited Educational Institution Pedro Paulet, where he reiterated his commitment to education.
