The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Thursday stated that the hope of society and the homeland lies in the children of Peru.

Remarks were made during her speech at the launch of new programming for Canal IPe (IPe Channel), by the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP), which she said "will serve to interact with all children."

"We know that the hope of our society, of our homeland, lies in you, in the children who have pure souls, and whose emotions are united," she expressed.

In this regard, Mrs. Boluarte explained that the Government will continue working for the benefit of all minors in Peru through this programming, which will enable everyone to "stand united and awake to learn."

"The programs will be available in Quechua and English, a language that will be taught starting this year in kindergarten, as well as in primary and secondary (educational institutions); this language enables students to (once they are older) go out into the world," she added.

The president indicated that just as there is a desire to help children, Peru must be put first, "uniting us as patriots and feeling that we carry the red and white (flag) in our hearts."

"Putting our homeland first depends on all of us," she noted.

Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte urged minors to study and prepare themselves on a daily basis in order to get ahead.

"We make these programs with a lot of love; you can also watch them with your parents; that's where the values are because we have to encourage positive learning, love, and tolerance in children," she concluded.
