Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Monday participated in the presentation of a new and cutting-end tomography scanner at the National Cardiovascular Institute (INCOR) in Lima.
This device will contribute to strengthening healthcare services by providing a more accurate diagnosis and more timely treatment to insured citizens who suffer from cardiac illnesses.
"I want to congratulate the
Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud) and the
INCOR for this new acquisition, which puts Peru and Latin America at the forefront in scientific, professional, and decisive capacities that the INCOR relies on in order to treat heart problems," he expressed during his visit to the facilities of said institution.
The Head of State affirmed that this new 256-slice tomography scanner allows diagnoses to be made in a quarter of the time that a conventional device usually needs for the same purpose.
In this sense, the top official specified that the INCOR is the first public institute to obtain an international accreditation of this type in Latin America, guaranteeing that all technical and professional procedures are complied with.
