Peru's President meets with UN Secretary-General

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday.

Secretary-General Guterres reiterated the UN's willingness to support the Peruvian Government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its recovery efforts under a new Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development 2022-2026.

Later, the Head of State delivered his address at the General Debate of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The event took place at the UN headquarters in New York City.
