Peru's President meets with Google senior executives

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday held a meeting with senior executives from the Google company in the United States, who expressed their interest in carrying out greater investment in Peru.

Via social media, the Presidential Office reported that the top official expressed her wish to enhance connectivity in various parts of the South American country.

"President Dina Boluarte held a meeting with Google senior executives, who expressed their interest in carrying out greater investment in Peru. The Head of State expressed her wish to continue working for a transparent Government that facilitates the fight against corruption and enhances connectivity in the Amazonia, as well as in the southern Andean zone," a post reads. 

In turn, Google's Vice-President of Government Affairs and Public Policy, Karan Bhatia, affirmed that the company is interested in boosting a greater presence in Peru given the country's high potential and interest in developing digitalization.
