Peru's President meets with Congress Board members

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Thursday morning held a meeting with members of the Board of Congress at Parliament headquarters in Lima.

The Head of State went on foot from the Government Palace to the Legislative Branch venue, where he was received by Peru Libre party legislators and Congress' Second Vice-Chairman Enrique Wong (Podemos Peru).

The gathering took place at Congress and featured its Chairwoman Maria del Carmen Alva, as well as the three Vice-Chairs of Parliament. 

Following the protocol meeting, Congress Board members walked the Peruvian top official to the building's stairway.

No statements were made by the authorities after that.
