The
on Monday announced that an Executive Branch work team will travel to Chincheros province (Apurimac region) on December 10.
Similarly, the top official called on the three government levels to work together to address the problems faced by this population.
The Head of State affirmed that, as authorities, they must be firm so as to provide concrete solutions to their community.
In this sense, Mr. Castillo mentioned that, through the
Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), the Government is preparing an induction program for elected mayors, in order to guide the public projects and works in their localities.
The president added that, from their officialization as mayors, it will also be arranged that the Cabinet and corresponding sectors open their doors to every mayor, with the aim of supporting them in the work that must be done.
He pointed out that, if current mayors want to have contact with any of the ministries during their stay in Lima, everything necessary will be arranged so that they open their doors and listen to mayors.
"(…) We are going to dedicate this day to this province," he told attendees.
At the
beginning of this event, the Head of State welcomed authorities to the Executive Branch headquarters and expressed his administration's willingness to listen to their demands and the needs of their jurisdictions.
The event also saw the presence of Luis Mendieta, Technocratic Cabinet head at the Presidency of the Republic, and legislators representing Apurimac region.
