on Tuesday affirmed that the government is making great efforts to meet the main needs of the population and improve educational services, in addition to guaranteeing food for Peruvian students.
"We have declared the national agriculture in emergency, and it means that, as the government, we will guarantee food for children and at educational institutions," Mr. Castillo expressed.
"The children of initial, primary, or secondary school won't be denied their food during our time in office," he added.
Furthermore, the Head of State stressed the holding of Decentralized Councils of Ministers at the national level, since the main needs of all Peruvians can be heard this way —in every corner of the country.
"Here in Huanuco, I have to thank the level of dialogue and participation because that is how we, leaders, are in this administration. It is the people who must govern and set the agenda," he said.
During his speech, Peru's top official called on the good will of parliamentarians so that, through Congress' Board members, the massive use of natural gas for the entire country can be debated and approved.
"Let the bill be scheduled once and for all so that people, who owe debts to the justice system within the framework of the fight against corruption, do not participate in the elections to become mayors or regional governors," he noted.
The president also asked the Legislative Branch to approve the creation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, since there are many citizens and scientists who can collaborate with this sector and thus guarantee the national development.
