At this event, the Head of State reiterated the Government's commitment to continue advancing in the execution of resources and the unlocking of public works in favor of the poorest population.
"I reaffirm that, through the General Budget of the Republic 2024 —the first one prepared by this Government to be presented by us to Congress before August 30— high-impact regional projects will be financed for an amount of S/15 billion (about US$4.04 billion) in key areas, such as potable water, sanitation, health, agriculture, and education," she stated.
The top official indicated that
cooperation and technical assistance to regional and local governments are expected to be strengthened, through the Con Punche Peru (Peru with Strength) program, for the unlocking of projects.
Furthermore, President Boluarte indicated that the Executive Branch is committed to solving the problems that afflict the population, as well as to building the social justice that is so longed for.
The top official recalled that, during the First Regional State Council, specific commitments had been assumed, sector by sector.
Mrs. Boluarte said she hopes that at this second meeting concrete agreements will be reached for the unlocking of public works and cutting of red tape.
"From here, I call on each ministry, we do not have to be a classic Executive (Branch); we have to pay attention to the concern of regional and local governments; that is why officials, instead of putting obstacles, must become facilitators," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.
"If it is necessary to travel to regions, (then) let's go, let's be more proactive, and help the governors in this task," she added.
