Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Thursday met with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director in Peru Jene Thomas in order to continue strengthening the joint work.

Thomas affirmed that the U.S. organization supports the South American country's efforts to preserve its biodiversity, while boosting a development that is "clean, green, resistant, and aligned with guaranteeing the rights and resources of indigenous populations for the sustainable management of their forests."

"We continue working together for the development of Peru," he said in Spanish.

Subsequently, the Peruvian Cabinet chief met with Argentine Ambassador Enrique Vaca-Narvaja to strengthen bilateral relations.

During the virtual meeting, issues related to health, economic and trade relations, the Peru-Argentina Social Cabinet, and the Bicentennial were addressed.
