Prime Minister Alberto Otarola on Tuesday affirmed that the Government will relaunch the internal order control policy and present a new citizen security plan due to the convening of the National Citizen Security Council (Conasec).

"Conasec is going to relaunch an internal order control policy of the National Government, which will consist of several components to be announced in due course," Otarola expressed.

The high-ranking official indicated that Interior Minister Vicente Romero will present the new citizen security plan before the Council of Ministers, adding that it will be submitted to Conasec.

The Cabinet chief indicated that the meeting with Conasec might be held next week.

"We are sure that this decision and meeting announced by the President (Dina Boluarte) will surely take place next week," he said.

Likewise, the high-ranking official stressed that the National Citizen Security Council is an institution which allows all State-run entities to plan and approve public policies for citizen security in a cross-cutting manner.

"The National Citizen Security Council is an institution that has been established so that all State-run entities and institutions can in a cross-cutting manner meet, approve, and plan public policies that are related to citizen security," he indicated.

Moreover, the Prime Minister referred to the upcoming start of the 2023 school year and the importance of SMEs for the implementation of facilities and other necessary resources.

"From the Central Government, all activities are being promoted for the good start of the school year. From this perspective, we have come to share the products of small- and medium-sized enterprises that go through a demanding quality process," he concluded.
