on Friday affirmed that the Government is determined to promote dialogue with the aim of preventing social conflicts and boosting the development of communities in Peru.
Before traveling to the southern city of Quillabamba to install a development roundtable, the Cabinet chief said that meeting the main demands of the most remote populations is an important step towards that goal.
"In this administration, we are determined to reach out to communities not only to face conflicts, but also as in this case (Quillabamba), we are making progress on setting up the development roundtable," Vasquez expressed.
"We are going to install a roundtable to begin to attend to the main demands and situations which afflict the most remote populations," she added.
The high-ranking official stressed that the best way to try to avoid conflicts is to opt for dialogue.
"The Government is attentive to all demands. Beyond addressing situations that were claimed, we think about how to advance towards development everywhere, overcoming the problems that we have had during this time," she said.
On this occasion, the Cabinet chief was joined by deputy ministers of Housing, Interior, Culture, and Production, as well as Congress members representing Cusco region.
