The Executive Branch will strengthen the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission (CAN), Peru's Prime Minister Guido Bellido affirmed on Monday.

In a post on social networks, the Cabinet chief stated that the Executive Branch will elect a new chair for said working group.

"We will strengthen the High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission and elect a new chair for it," he posted on Twitter.

The High-Level Anti-Corruption Commission (CAN) is a space for articulation and coordination among public, private, and civil society institutions.

Its objective is to propose short, medium, and long-term policies aimed at preventing and combating corruption in the country.

It must be noted this is an entity attached to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).

On the other hand, the Prime Minister rejected allegations —contained in a TV report— of proposals for a position in the National Directorate of Intelligence (DINI).
