Peru's Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Monday affirmed that the members of the current Ministerial Cabinet will be at the disposal of the new administration, beyond the transition process carried out by the Transition and Emergency Government.

"The President of the Republic has asked the entire Cabinet to put itself at the disposal of the new administration, beyond the formal process of transition, in case it requires some clarification or perhaps additional information, as giving continuity to public policies is our vocation," she said in an interview with Caretas magazine.

The Cabinet chief explained that the last stage of the transition process will occur when the new government appoints its Cabinet of Ministers and after a virtual or in-person meeting between the outgoing and incoming ministers.

She believes that the meeting could take place on July 30, when the transition certificate is slated to be signed.

Bermudez explained that the transition of power has several levels established by the Comptroller General's Office.

In this regard, she said the process began at the end of May with the administrative transfer and formation of work teams in each sector, including the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).

"Starting May 31, each sector prepared the necessary information to be passed to the next administration. The cut-off date for the information gathered was June 30," she explained.

In addition, a complementary report on the administration in July will be included, which features the progress, achievements, and obstacles of the current government.
