Peruvian Ministers of Interior, Women-Vulnerable Populations, and Education have tendered their resignation from office.

Victor Torres on Monday confirmed that he tendered his resignation from the position of Interior Minister, citing family reasons.

"(…) I have a family health problem," he said at the end of a Cabinet's session.

Moreover, he noted that his resignation does not respond to pressure from Congress due to the forthcoming Cabinet’s presentation before Parliament to seek the vote of confidence.

For her part, Nancy Tolentino announced, via social media, that she has stepped down from the Women and Vulnerable Populations sector.

In the post, she thanked the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte for the confidence entrusted in her.

In addition, Tolentino reaffirmed her commitment to promoting and respecting the rights of women and vulnerable populations, noting that she will continue working in favor of this.

On the other hand, Miriam Ponce disclosed that she tendered her resignation from the Education Ministry, through a statement shared on social media, in which she thanked the Head of State for the confidence she showed in her.
