Peru's Gov't in favor of any renegotiation, but it must observe rule of law

07:00 | Lima, Sep. 27.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo has affirmed that the Government is committed to providing low-cost gas to all Peruvians and that any renegotiation —aimed at achieving this goal— will be conducted with unrestricted respect for the rule of law.

In a statement on Twitter on Sunday night, the Peruvian leader noted that the State and private sector are working together for a better country.

In addition, the Head of State remarked that his administration remains committed to providing low-cost gas to all Peruvians, as announced on July 29 during the symbolic presidential swearing-in ceremony at Pampa de la Quinua in Ayacucho.

"This people's Government is committed to providing low-cost gas to all Peruvians. Any renegotiation will be conducted with unrestricted respect for the rule of law and safeguarding the national interests. The State and private sector working together for a better Peru," President Castillo stated.
