Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Miguel Angel Rodriguez Mackay on Thursday received the visit of Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, who is in Peru to continue promoting political, economic, and cultural relations in a collaborative way.

Within the framework of this visit, the authorities signed the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Agreement.

A part of this agreement, 20 young Peruvians may access undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships in Hungary. Moreover, it provides that five Hungarian students may study in Peru.

In addition, two memorandums of understanding were signed: one between the diplomatic academies of Peru and Hungary, and another between the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) and Hungary's Ministry of Human Capacities in a bid to strengthen sports cooperation and the exchange of good practices.

Minister Rodriguez Mackay underscored that the signing of these agreements contributes to the integration of both peoples, promotes meritocracy, and reflects the opportunities to continue deepening bilateral relations.
