First Lady of the Nation Lilia Paredes on Sunday said that boys and girls embody the present and represent the future of the country.
Her remarks were delivered within the framework of Children's Day.
"Dear boys and girls, you embody the present and represent the future of our country. You are the most beautiful pillar of Peruvian families and societies worldwide," the wife of
President Pedro Castillo wrote on Twitter.
Moreover, she emphasized that society must provide children with love and affection, as well as ensure the protection of their rights as citizens.
Children's Day in Peru is celebrated every third Sunday of August. It is devoted to brotherhood and understanding among children around the world.
Thus, activities designed to promote their rights and well-being are carried out on the occasion.
The UN General Assembly met to reaffirm the universal rights of children so that said union and fraternity are devoted in every country around the world through integration activities.
