Peruvian Economy and Finance Minister Jose Arista on Tuesday participated in the bell-ringing ceremony at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), as part of a visit by a Peruvian delegation to Canada.

Arista took part at the event, along with other Latin American delegations present in Canada as part of the 2024 PDAC Mining Convention.

Peru, represented by senior government officials, participates at the annual mineral exploration convention PDAC 2024, which is taking place in Toronto until March 6.

The event showcases the enormous geological potential and competitive advantages that turn Peru into one of the best destinations for mining investment.

On Monday, at PDAC 2024, the world's most important mining exploration event, Energy and Mines Minister Romulo Mucho highlighted that Peru has an enormous geological potential to be explored and that it currently has a portfolio of 75 exploration projects with a total investment amount of US$647 million distributed in 17 regions across the country.

The Energy and Mines sector's head remarked that the exploration projects are at different stages of implementation, which goes from the evaluation of environmental management instruments to the implementation of exploration activities.
