Peruvian athlete Diego Elias was chosen Men's Young Player of the Year by the Professional Squash Association (PSA).
Elias received
this recognition at the 2016/17 PSA Awards held last Monday in the United Arab Emirates.
The 20-year-old won the Edmonton Open (M35) title and made the semi-finals at 2016 NetSuite Open (M100) and 2017 Motor City Open (M70).
Likewise, the sportsman holds the
19th position (383 average points) in the monthly world ranking released by PSA this month.
He is considered one of the world's young talents, plus one of the most outstanding national athletes.
As is known, Elias won a silver medal in the men singles category at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto (Canada).
