Peruvian athlete Diego Elias reached the 19th position (383 average points) in the monthly world ranking revealed by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) in May.
Thus, 20-year-old Elias became the first Peruvian in history to break into the world's top 20.
It must be noted he was ranked 22nd on the previous April 2017 list. His achievement is the outcome of efforts, dedication, as well as good performances.
The sportsman is considered one of the world's young talents, plus one of the most outstanding national athletes.
As is known, Elias won a silver medal in the squash's men singles category at the Pan American Games 2015 held in Toronto (Canada).
