Peru's Defense Minister to attend Panama presidential inauguration

Peruvian Defense Minister, Pedro Cateriano, is set to travel to Panama to attend the inauguration of Panama's president-elect, Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez on behalf the Andean country's President Ollanta Humala Tasso.
Cateriano's official visit to Panama has been authorized through a supreme resolution released Saturday, June 28,  in El Peruano official daily.  

The Peruvian Minister will be out of  the country, from June 30 through July 1st. Peru's Housing, Construction and Sanitation Minister will be in charge of the Cateriano’s ministerial office.

During his two-day trip, Minister Cateriano is expected to hold talks with high level government officials from Panama in order to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

Meanwhile, the Andean countru's President, Ollanta Humala is on six-day official visit to France  from June 28 to July 31 in a bid to reinforce bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Peruvian leader is expected to hold talks with his French counterpart François Hollande and to attend the sixth edition of the International Economic Forum on Latin America and the Caribbean and a meeting with the Movement of French Enterprises, Medef, to be held in Paris.

During Humala's trip, the country's Vice-President Marisol Espinosa, will in charge of the presidential office,
