Peru's Defense Minister Cesar Diaz Peche paid a courtesy visit this morning to the administrative headquarters of the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI), located in the district of San Isidro, with the aim of strengthening inter-institutional coordination to address reactive measures in the face of disaster risks that may affect the country.

The minister was received by the head of INDECI, Luis Enrique Arroyo Sánchez, who presented a summary of the main actions the institution is carrying out in terms of preparedness, response, and recovery in the event of emergencies, highlighting the importance of working in conjunction with the Defense sector.

During the visit, both officials toured the INDECI administrative headquarters, where they were able to learn firsthand about the operation of the operational and administrative areas that support the entity's management.

During the tour, the Minister of Defense and the head of INDECI (National Institute of Civil Defense) held a brief exchange with officials and staff of the institution and ultimately agreed to meet again at the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN), located in Chorrillos, to continue the ongoing monitoring of risk scenarios and strengthen joint response actions to potential emergencies and disasters.
