Cuna Mas' of the
Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) has renewed the ISO 9001:2015 certification that it obtained for its quality management system, as well as the ISO 37001:2016 certification that it received for its anti-bribery management system in different processes within the Family Support Service (SAF).
Both recognitions ratify the ethics of the social program, which actively prevents corruption and promotes transparency. Besides, they confirm the efficiency and high quality standards that are followed both in the provision of services to citizens and in internal institutional processes.
During the recertification ceremony, the head of Midis, Dina Boluarte, highlighted her sector's commitment to strict compliance with regulations against bribery and corruption, as well as to applying continuous improvement in all its processes, so as to achieve high quality standards.
"Achievements can be obtained through work and effort, such as these ISO certifications that generate quality in public management and, thus, those who most benefit are the vulnerable individuals across the country. Officials must provide good services to citizens," she stated.
Rigorous process
The aforementioned social program obtained the ISO certifications in April 2019 for its quality management system and anti-bribery measures applied to the processes within the Family Support Service (SAF).
Such service strengthens positive parenting and healthcare practices adopted by more than 115,130 families in rural areas across 19 regions of the country.
This service is of great importance for the social program, as it helps reach —timely and strategically— pregnant women in said homes and children under 36 months of age, in order to contribute to their early childhood development.
For her part, Cuna Mas Executive Director Lourdes Sevilla stated that the social program assumed the great responsibility of maintaining high quality and anti-bribery standards with the first ISO certification.
