Serving more than 100 compatriots, the Consulate General of Peru in Washington D.C. held a traveling consulate event in the city of Louisville, Kentucky, on November 18-19.

At the event, Peruvian nationals were able to have their national identity documents and passports processed, as well as to carry out birth registrations and notarial procedures —on two days that stood out for the active participation of the Peruvian community residing in the mentioned U.S. State.

Thanks to the support from the non-profit organization "La Casita Center," at whose headquarters the activity was held, it was possible to provide Peruvian expats with medical services and legal advice on immigration matters.

Within this framework, Peru's Consul General Carlos Manchego held working meetings with the Secretary of the Cabinet for Economic Development for the State of Kentucky, Jeff Noel, and with the Director of Louisville Metro Office for Globalization, Kevin Lynch.

The Peruvian representative discussed with them topics of interest to the Peruvian community residing in this State, as well as the promotion of trade and investment between Peru and Kentucky.
