Peru's Ambassador presents credentials to President of Mongolia

Ambassador Marco Vinicio Balarezo Lizarzaburu presented to Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa the credentials that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to Mongolia, with residency in Beijing, the People's Republic of China.

During the meeting, held on Tuesday, April 2, in the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator, the Peruvian envoy conveyed the personal greetings of the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and expressed Peru's interest in strengthening the bilateral relationship.

The ceremony also saw the participation of Mongolia's Foreign Affairs Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh.

Likewise, a day before, Ambassador Balarezo handed over copies of his credential letters to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Ambassador Nyamdorj Ankhabayar.


At the meeting, both authorities referred to the state of bilateral relations, the opportunities to strengthen them through the establishment of concrete mechanisms, and the exchange of visits by senior authorities.

Peru and Mongolia have the potential to increase bilateral trade, cooperation in mining technology and agriculture, as well as coordination at the multilateral level in the fight against climate change.

On the same day, the Peruvian ambassador held a work meeting with Honorary Consul of Peru in said country, Battuul Khaltmaa, who has held said position since 2011.

The entrepreneur provides support to the Peruvian community in Mongolia. Besides, he detailed his compatriots' needs that shall be met by the Peruvian Embassy.
