Ambassador Manuel Cacho-Sousa Velazquez presented to Israeli President Isaac Herzog the credentials that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the State of Israel.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, September 19.

Afterwards, during an audience, the Peruvian Ambassador conveyed greetings from the Peruvian Head of State Dina Boluarte to the President and people of Israel on the occasion of Rosh Hashana, a celebration that marks the start of the Jewish New Year.

The Israeli President and the Peruvian envoy highlighted the recent contacts —at the highest level— between foreign affairs ministers and presidents.

Moreover, they underscored the willingness to continue deepening the ties of friendship, dialogue, and cooperation between both countries in various areas, such as water management, agriculture, education, as well as science and technology.

In a recent post on social media, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs wished a group of new ambassadors, including the Peruvian envoy, success in their roles.

"A momentous day here in Israel as our President Isaac Herzog receives credentials from seven new ambassadors," reads the post.

"We wish all of the new ambassadors success in their roles and look forward to strengthening ties between Israel and their countries," the government agency added.
