Work
Earlier, JNE Secretary General Yessica Clavijo explained that the 60 Special Electoral Boards (JEEs) handled a caseload of 68,000 challenged electoral records, which contained material errors, were illegible, incomplete, or included arithmetic mistakes.
The secretary general said this figure was double the number of records registered during the 2021 General Election.
She also explained that a total of 1,300 vote recount hearings were held and broadcast by the National Elections Board (JNE), with the presence of party representatives and officials from the Public Ministry (Prosecutor's Office).
